About Me
Empowering Change Through Understanding
I am a licensed specialist wellness counsellor with the Association of Supportive counsellors and holistic practitioners. I hold an honours degree in Psychology(SACAP), have completed a school of biblical studies(UofN) and am also an accredited AIM enneagram coach. I am a partner at The Family Counselling Centre and lead staff development for HopeTown Network.
As a counsellor, I work collaboratively with my clients to create a space where they can feel safe and heard. I believe by creating an environment marked by authenticity, curiosity and kindness people very naturally start to solve their own problems and move towards what is really meaningful for them.
I use different techniques from mindfulness to systems theory to get an understanding of thoughts, feelings and behavioural/relational patterns with the hope of offering my clients insight and awareness. With this new awareness clients have the power to ask and adapt these patterns and move towards a life of wholeness and meaning. This approach is best described as the soar method. Where clients can practice learning how to See, Own, Ask and the finally re-write their own stories.

I have firsthand experience of how challenging this journey can be but the research show’s that personal growth starts to happen before a client enters their first session. If you’ve found my site or have looked around, the research shows that your journey of healing and growth has already started, and that’s something to celebrate!
